Kendra Chapman, MBA Graduate ‘10

As I am approaching graduation, I cannot believe that my time here at the Newman Center is already coming to an end. When I began working for the John Paul II Newman Center in the summer of 2009, I did not know what was in store for me. What I soon found out was that I was joining a team that values hard work, professionalism, and personal relationships.

Working for the John Paul II Newman Center and the Integritas Institute for Ethics over the past eleven months has been a wonderful experience. Throughout my time here, I have learned not only about business ethics, but also the behind the scenes work that is involved in planning, marketing, and executing events. While in this position, I have had the opportunity to sharpen my abilities to think on my feet, create a foundation for building relationships with professionals, utilize marketing and business skills, and so much more.

The knowledge and experiences that I am taking away with me from the Newman Center have prepared me to walk across the stage on that fateful graduation day and face the world with all the tools I need to succeed. In the future, I will always look back on this experience fondly and remember where I got my start. I would like to add a special thanks to all of the wonderful staff members at the John Paul II Newman Center who have supported me throughout the year and helped make every event a success.
